The First International Symposium on Intelligent Robots: Autonomy and Vision (IRAV), March 11-13, 2018
NYUAD will be organizing The First International Symposium on Intelligent Robots: Autonomy and Vision (IRAV) on March 11-13, 2018.
The extensive research efforts over the last few decades on development of intelligent robots has been addressing several fundamental challenges in coexistence of robots and humans ranging from psychological and philosophical aspects to interaction and communication mechanisms and to technological systems and architectures. In the past few decades, there have been tremendous advances in technologies for the design of intelligent robots to better assist human activities in homes, hospitals and factories, for personal, industrial, automotive, and a wide range of other applications. The advancement of these applications of intelligent robots crucially relies upon autonomy, which involves multiple technology facets, with controls, machine intelligence, computer vision, and human-robot interfaces being some of the crucial technology ingredients for perceiving and interacting with the external environment.
