Ken Iiyoshi

Ken Iiyoshi received his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering in August 2025, specializing in soft robotics and haptics. He earned his B.S. in Computer Engineering (cum laude) from NYU Abu Dhabi in May 2020. Ken’s research contributions include publications in leading journals such as IEEE Transactions on Haptics and IEEE Access, as well as a contributed book chapter in Humans Plus Technology: Global Youth Insights on the Future of Work. He has presented his work at major international conferences, including the IEEE International Conference on Soft Robotics (RoboSoft 2025) and the International Conference on Manipulation, Automation, and Robotics at Small Scales (MARSS 2024). He is currently works as an innovation postdoctoral researcher in residence under NYU’s Office of the Provost, translating his research into industrial applications at NYU New York and NYU Tulsa in Oklahoma.

Vahan Babushkin

Vahan Babushkin received his BSc. in Electronics and Microelectronics from Slavonic University in 2010, and MSc. in Computing and Information Science from Khalifa University (MIT & Masdar Institute Cooperative Program), Abu Dhabi in 2013. He completed his PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from the Tandon School of Engineering, New York University in August 2024. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Haven Lab, center of Cybersecurity at New York University Abu Dhabi.
His research interests are in the application of machine learning to different areas of computational science and engineering, including haptics, robotics, and human-computer interaction. Currently, he is passionate about explainable AI and multimodal models, with current work focused on adapting large language models (LLMs) for edge devices—including smartphones, tablets, routers, and gateways—to enable secure, private, and efficient on-device AI frameworks.

Haneen Alsuradi

Haneen completed her PhD in Electrical Engineering at New York University Tandon School of Engineering. Her PhD research focused on developing a machine learning based neurocognitive framework to evaluate the experience of haptic delay. Haneen received her BSc. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from University of Sharjah and MSc in Micro-systems Engineering from Masdar Institute of Science and Technology, UAE. She has worked previously as a Design/Layout Engineer for VLSI circuits at Golden Electronics in Amman, Jordan. She has experience in circuit design and printed wearable electronics.
Her research area is focused on neural signal processing, psycho-physics of touch and machine learning.

Tamás Aujeszky

Tamás completed his PhD in Electrical Engineering at New York University Tandon School of Engineering. His PhD research is related to the development of the framework for contactless thermography based material characterization. He also has a BS in Electrical Engineering from New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD). His research area involves human computer interaction, tangible interfaces and multimodal interaction.
